Canon have just introduce their new hot shoe flash, the Speedlite EL1. Which finally runs on a lithium battery with recycle times of around 0.9 sec, 335 shots per charge. Also control of power out put from 1/1 down to 1/8192. Guide number will be 197′ at ISO100. It is super powerful, however at a price of US$1099, there are lots of competitors out there.
